The newly-restored Virginia Theatre has updated its restrooms to be ADA-compliant and now includes transfer seating on both levels plus wheelchair-accessible seating on the auditorium’s main floor. Up to 18 wheelchairs may be accommodated with one companion seat available per wheelchair.
Single-occupant bench seating is also available, intended for any patron using adaptive technology or others seeking accessible seating. These seats have a padded, fabric-covered seat (measuring 32″ W x 19″ D) with a 1,000 lb capacity and a padded back. Incl. polished wooden armrests.

The theatre also features a wheelchair lift for guests accessing the stage from the auditorium, a LULA (Limited Use Limited Access) elevator allowing access from the stage to the downstairs dressing rooms, and an elevator allowing access to the building’s upstairs lobby and restrooms.*
Assisted listening devices are available upon request at no charge. A single earpiece bud, ear speaker, or neck loop may be used by patrons to enhance their enjoyment of films, spoken word events, and some live performances. Devices may be obtained at the box office before the show. A credit card, driver’s license, or other form of ID is required.
Sign Language interpretation can be made available for events, upon request. Please give a minimum of two weeks’ notice to the box office.
